Connemara 9 - Corinthians 8 (14/12/02)
Connemara hosted Corinthians on the 14th December at Clifden in a local
derby and were striving to get their season back on track after a heavy
defeat away to Waterpark the previous weekend. A large crowd witnessed
honest, hard endeavour from both sets of players in a tight, low scoring
match where once again Connemara¹s high intensity defending won the
day and the 4 league points. Alan King, playing at No. 10 was on target
with 3 penalties for the Blacks, while Corinthians could only manage an
unconverted try and penalty despite dominating long periods of the game.
