Conamara Thiar We Go!
For the first time ever this autumn, culture vultures can avail
of a specialised weekend holiday package to celebrate the renowned Féile
Pléaráca in Conamara Thiar. A weekend of bliss and
delight is promised by Aoibhneas, an innovative local tourism
group. The group is offering a unique holiday package in an area off the
beaten tourist track, in the westernmost part of the Conamara Gaeltacht.
The unspoilt landscape that lies between Camus and Carna is a perfect
backdrop to what promises to be an exciting few days between October 3
and 6.
Major Radio Training Event
for Connemara Community Radio
Community radio broadcasters from all over Ireland will converge
on Letterfrack village this week-end, 20th - 22nd September, for a major
radio training week-end. The Radio Training Feile, funded by the Broadcasting
Commission of Ireland, (BCI), will be hosted by Connemara Community Radio.

In Clifden, Co. Galway, this year we are celebrating our 25th! LOCAL AND
VISITOR ALIKE PLEASE NOTE THESE DATES: 18TH - 29TH SEPT.
This year, the only major Arts Festival with its base in the local schools
and community, is celebrating its 25th year with an extra special programme
of events.
